The East Path

As you emerge from the trees, the breeze kicks up and ruffles your clothes. A beautiful field of golden grasses dances ahead of you, bordered by the high crowns of more trees in the far distance. As the path turns from stone to pebbles to a dusty trail, you find yourself at the edge of a huge wooden bridge, below which trickles a low creek.

If your let your eyes wander along the creek bed, you can make out the sheltered overhangs of burrows dug into the bank. They puzzle you a bit; they are too large for any animal you can think of. You take a step, and the wooden bridge beneath your feet creaks invitingly...

💙 Continue along the bridge, trusting the old wood to bear you safely.

💛 Heed your curiosity; turn back and investigate the creek bed.
